Argentina is an attractive mining destination [and even in it’s current political environment we are cautiously optimistic] due to the government’s support of the mining industry and pro-mining tax incentives. San Juan Province has a robust mining culture with a knowledgeable and skilled workforce. The region accounts for 62 percent of Argentina’s mining production exports. The province is home to 71 percent of Argentina’s known copper reserves and contains more than 80 million ounces of gold.
Current projects under review include assets in Brazil (Zinc/Lead) [Gov stats], Chile (Copper/Gold with potential for production within two years [Gov stats], Columbia (private gold producer) and in Nevada (~300kozs gold, past producer)
